Total Weight Loss 127 pounds

To all my family and friends who have emailed me or checked my website and seen no updates.....thank you for caring about me! There will be more updates more frequently. I don't have a new picture to post, but I'll get a friend to take one in the next few days. I don't think I really look any different from the last picture, but we'll see when I get a new one taken and compare it to the last one.

WOW what a month for me. I don't want to go into great detail, but I had a few mood issue, the doctor gave me some medication, it wasn't right for me. I read up on it, educate myself, stopped it. I feel sooooooooo much better. I feel like myself again. Lesson learned.....just because the doctor suggests medication for some complaints doesn't mean you always need it. Sometimes you just need to pray, think , relax and wait things out. Ok I'll step off my soap box now, but mainly it was for me to remind myself to listen to my own advice.

We had had some CRAZY weather here. We had a really bad wind storm. The news reported at one point there were over 1 million people in the Puget Sound area without power yesterday, but today only 700,000 are without power. And the temperature tonight is supposed to drop to 27 and then we may have snow showers. I know the power company is working as hard as it can and the news said crews were coming from many other states to help out, but its a huge mess. Businesses are closed, including gas stations, grocery stores and very important for people here, COFFEE places. The newspaper wasn't even printed yesterday for lack of power, thats the first time in 70 years the paper has missed a day.

Luckily my apartment building only lost power temporarily while I was at work. My cable TV, internet and digital phone service were out most of the day yesterday, but that motivated me to get things organized and put away that were still lingering in boxes from my move 2 months ago.

And since I had no TV, I put on a DVD, Miracle on 34th Street and decorated for Christmas after I got done with the cleaning. At first I wasn't going to decorate because I just couldn't seem to get up the motivation to do it the past few weeks. But now I'm glad I did it. I have been playing Christmas songs and turning on all the Christmas lights and all my little Christmas knick knacks that light up.

My Cousin Barbara sent me this...Fun Tibetan Personality Test....its fantastic I hope everyone takes a few minutes to do it.

Total Weight Loss 124 pounds

I went to see my doctor, nutritionist and surgeon. Everything is much better now! I just need to keep an eye on what I'm eating and make sure I get plenty of protein. But I'm feeling great again, thank goodness!

Total Weight Loss 117 pounds

We had a little snow yesterday and today. I wish it was a little more, at least enough to cover everything in w hite. There is still a possibility of a little more snow this week.

I saw this documentary on HBO called Thin, its about girls with eating disorders. Its totally the opposite of the situation I had, but I find myself fascinated by it. I have watched it several times now.

Total Weight Loss 117 pounds

Weight loss is really slow, but still going down. My emotions are like a rollercoaster right now. I don't know if thats due to changes from the weightloss or hormones or what, but I'm going to see the doctor on Monday and hopefully get things back to normal.

Total Weight Loss 110 pounds

The scale moved today YAY!

I went to the mall and tried on some new jeans in a smaller size and they fit, but I didn't buy them. I don't really know why, but I just decided to wait a little longer. Maybe I'll be in the next smaller size by then. So friends, you'll just have to look at me in my baggy pants until then.

Total Weight Loss 108 pounds

The scale hasn't changed, but my jeans sure are baggy. I'm going to go to the mall this weekend and try on the next smaller size and see how they fit.

My friend Simon was in town this week visiting from New York. The last time he saw me was about 1 week before my surgery. Below is a picture of 1 week before surgery and today.

nagchampa.jpg

If you like incense you have to try Nag Champa, its the worlds most popular incense. It is a special blend of natural herbs, resins, flowers and oils, and is hand-rolled in India. It has a rich earthy fragrance. I just love it and burn it everyday.

I have started to decorate my new apartment. Its still a work in progress and very colorful.

I added some pictures from the John Mayer concert.

I love my new apartment! But, ugh, I hate moving!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!

I bought the DVD's for Entourage season 1 and 2. I love this show! I am going to call Monday and get HBO added to my cable package so I can watch it regularly.

A friend and I went to see Bodies the Exhibition last week. I thought is was very well done and respectful to the real bodies they used. It was fasinating and very informative. This exhibit isn't for everyone, but if you are daring enough and have the chance go see it.

After the Bodies Exhibition since we were downtown we went to Pike Place Market and had great fun shopping.

I went to see Delirium last week. Its a Cirque Du Soleil musical show. If you ever have the chance to go see a Cirque Du Soleil show, do not pass it up. It is a fantastic experience.

I went to Pike Place Market again this week with another friend from work and even though I was just there the week before I still had a blast and saw lots of things I didn't see the week before.

Waiting on the elevator at Pike Place Market in October 2006. Weight 233lbs.

But now all the fun is over. I have so much school work to get caught up on I have no fun time the next couple of weeks. But I'm not worried I'll get it all done. You believe me, don't you? HA HA

Total Weight Loss 108 pounds

I just realized how difficult my previous page colors could have made it for some people to view my page. I was at school looking at my page and could barely read the green letters on the black backgroud. At home I thought that color combination looked good, but on a different computer it was to hard to read, so I changed it to something easier on the eyes.

I have been busy the past few weeks, but really enjoying life. My best friend and I went to see John Mayer last week and he was fantastic. He has matured from his pop sound to a great blues sound and can he ever play the guitar. He is so good on the guitar he really doesn't even have to sing for you to like him.

Before the concert we stopped by the Mukleshoot Casino and let them have some of our hard earned money, but we had fun giving it to them! The day after the concert we went to the Puyallup Fair and had a great time.

The weight loss has slowed down alot, but I'm still losing weight. And even though the scale doesn't go down everyday my clothes seem to be getting looser so I know my body is changing.

I will be getting my new apartment at the end of this week and I'm so excited I can hardly wait to move in. In getting ready for my move I have been cleaning out more stuff that I just don't need, use or want. I have been moving boxes and boxes of books around with me for years. I love my books, but I finally decided to donate the majority of them to the library. I figure with the internet it is so easy to look things up and if I want to read more on something I can go to the library and borrow the book instead of moving 20 boxes of books everytime I move. I see it as sharing my beloved books with others. Plus it feels so freeing to just let go of them. I also discovered the library is only 1 block from my new apartment so I can walk there, get some exercise and read a book to exercise my mind.

Total Weight Loss 104 pounds

The scale has finally started going down again, slowly, but at least I'm losing again.

I got some great news today. I got a new apartment. I was looking at an apartment in downtown Seattle, but it was so difficult to get the leasing agent to call me back, I took it as an omen and kept looking for apartments. I found one I love in downtown Bellevue, just minutes from work. Its a brand new building called 989 Elements, its all cool, funky and feng shui. Click here to see my new place.

My Cisco networking class starts tonight and only lasts 1 month, so I know I have alot of intense studying to do in the next month as well as planning my move to the new apartment. YIKES! But I can handle it all!

Total Weight Loss 102 pounds

Give this some thought today, I know I will be thinking about it for myself......What defines you?

I have felt out of sorts the last few days. There was a full moon, so I'm going to blame it on that, because today I feel "normal" again.

I talked to the lady about the apartment in Pioneer Square and she said it has a view of the alley. I'm kind of bummed out about that, but I'm still going to go look at it. If its not what I want I'll just keep looking around.

If you haven't seen this guy dancing yet, go take a look. He's quite amusing and he's from Seattle. Where the hell is Matt?

Thursday, September 7, 2006

I just had my 5 year anniversary at Boeing. I hope to stay many more years. I really enjoy my job and appreciate all the benefits I get from it.

I still haven't been able to see the apartment downtown yet and its getting towards the last minute on things, so I hope it all works out. My emotions seem to be all over the place this week, but I think its due to worrying about moving and getting things packed and making all the arrangements that go along with moving. I'm sure once I have everything scheduled and confirmed I can relax and stop worrying and it will all be good.

I registered for a Cisco networking class at Bellevue Community College. A friend from work is also taking the class at the same time so we can help each other.

I had a compliment today. I was in the office of my current apartment waiting to pickup a package. The lady who lives across from me, who is rarely home, I think she travels alot, came into the office too. She saw me sitting there waiting and she said to me, "Is it your mother who lives across from me with the little dog?" I had to laugh. I told her, "No, its me, I live across from you, but I'm lost 100 pounds so thats probably why you didn't recognize me".

Here's a comparison of me 100 pounds ago and now.

July 2004 August 2006

Also, I got an email from the leasing agent for the Corona Loft in downtown Seattle I am interested in and they have one coming open at the end of September, so I'm excited about that. I still have to go down and see the place to make sure its all good.

Sunday, August 27, 2006

I am considering moving to Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle, if a place becomes available here at the Terry Denny and Corona Lofts. I just love the character of the inside of these lofts.

I posted pictures from my Bigfoot Expedition (see the Index above).
